Pastel and Pencil
A quick sketch this evening with my pencils, and a touch of pastel for the white highlights. I really enjoy pencilwork, time seems to go by in the blink of an eye when I’m pushing them round the paper.
Saturday saw the first pastel workshop forĀ 2012 kickoff. We had a great time, with some students creating their very first or second pastel paintings.
There were some other fabulous paintings, but not quite finished – those students will show their wonderful work next time!
Hope you are all enjoying your week!

I love your pencil sketches. It looks like you have another talented group there. What beautiful watery blues!
Lovely pencil sketch. I sure wish I lived near you. I’d really like to try pastels and it looks like you have a wonderful bunch of students.

That’s some pencil you got going there, love the sketch. And would you look at the art your students are producing! Goodness, such talent.
Gorgeous pencil drawing! Your students create lovely work which stands as testament to your great teaching abilities.
Thank you all – Pencils and the students are great to work with!
Nigella Lawson it is then, just watching her makes me happy. Thanks for the uplifting words. I really needed them. Looks like you have been busy on your end as well. I always like seeing all the happy faces of the folks taking your workshops. You can tell they know that art makes them happy. I know it does that for me even when I am just doing the recipe cards. To see them pile up in a box brings a smile to my face, I wonder what my children will think of that box when I am long gone. Carolina
The eye is captivating for sure. Amazing! Again! Your students are so talented too!
