Illustration Friday – Slither

Here’s my submission for Illustration Friday’s current topic – SLITHER.

If you’ve been following this blog you’ll know that my life has been one big python and snake adventure, so I may as well record it in watercolour!

My take on an “Amethystine”  Python:

You certainly do have a snake story or two to base this on. Must say your version looks far more friendly than the real life version. Great work

I know my years are far beyond this term, but, purple is “still” my favorite color! I love the up close and personal view you gave us of this Slithering reptile. Great technique, great expression!

You really have done quite a good job. I like this painting very much, escpecially for the eye. You made the eye possess kind of blue, which is well done. I am a young painter from China. Hope to communicate with you on painting skill. Thank you.

I do love the head and the scales – but he looks very friendly. After viewing all the pictures you posted, all I can think of is the huge body and feathers sticking out of his mouth!
