Scribbling on walls
Recently I caught up with the owner of our old home. She kindly sent me a pic of Jez’s old room. I was surprised she hadn’t painted over it, because you know, Medieval is so last season.
The adjoining wall which you can’t see had a huge crack painted in it, in which I stuck some faux ivy. Everyone that ever went into that room tried to stick their fingers in that crack.
Ten years on, you should see Jez’s room now…

Now that’s a big canvas! The room in it’s entirety must look spectacular because the portion we see here is wonderful. Jez must have loved it.
That one is gretat so lets see his room now. Cindy i had a snake in the yard today and I wanted to link your snake stories to my post I hope that is OK. I have linked the latest python story but do you have the link for your Python eating a cockatoo post?
Hi Brenda,
I had cast iron door knobs ready to onto his wardrobe, etc etc, and then we sold! Jez actually wanted a secret trap door cut into the timber floor so he had en escape route under the house.
Hey Diane,
I saw your pretty little snake - couldn’t say what species it was though. I was actaully thinking about re-doing the cockatoo vs python post today, what a coincidence. I never actually posted much, because at the time it was being syndicated via the press around the world. Now I’m free to post my stories and pics - stay tuned!
Who would paint over that!!! I wouldn’t be game to take on something like that Cindy in case I stuffed it up, but you did a magnificent job - so effective!!!
Thanks Karen,
I’m afraid I suffer from that affliction too much these days. Over-analyse a painting before I’ve even started and worry about the “what if’s”.
I’ve got to keep it in mind “that it’s only a piece of paper”.
