Hey Kristy,

You know I've been thinking about exhuming it, but it's been too wet. As it's a very sandy soil we have, it SHOULD just lift out when the ground is completely dry. We're due to get another storm front in the next hour or so, so digging will have to wait a while.

I'll be sure to post about it though....

Hi Cindy, I just love the vibrant colours in your girls. Have you unearthed your decomposed Dugite yet? I would love to see the end result & to know what your plans are for it! Love your blog and artwork. Cheers, Kristy

Hi Jacilyn.

Yep, we all try and pass on those types of slithery visitors! Thanks for the kind comments about my paintings.

Katie, my thoughts exactly when I saw the Dugite!
Thanks for the lemon tree advice. No stink bugs, but a severe calcium deficiency. Even though we live on beach sand, the calcium is not in a form that the tree can take up, so it's had a lovely mineral shower that should perk it up - I'll keep you updated.

Bloody hell. I am not keen at all on the look of that snake.
Ta for the comments on my blog. Your lemon tree needs water, a feeding of citrus fertiliser and look for stink bugs attached to the underside of leaves. In the heat the stink bugs love to attack my lemon tree. You have to pull them off by hand. Wear sunnies (they squirt stinky stuff) and wear gardening gloves and clothes you won't mind being smelly for a few washes. The bugs will need to be disposed of in a plastic bag and into the bin.

Thanks for coming to look at my blog!

Your work is beautiful, I took a trip to your Etsy shop and thought I was looking at nature photos but saw they are watercolors. Wow! Beautiful and colorful.

The snake I'll pass on though...:-)

Hey Diane,

Dugites are notorious for coming into and around homes, especially when bushland or vacant blocks have been cleared. A friend of mine had one stuck in her wire screen door, and a couple of times the cat has brought baby ones into the house.

"What's the cat doing with a rubber snake?" the Man asked me once.......
