Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by.

Doda,
I had to google Belize - I would never have guessed Central America. We've just watched Apocolypto, (what a movie!) and have seen lots recently about Guatemala and all the culture the Mayans left behind.

Kim,
I'm scared when I step outside to hang the washing at night! So how's that suntan going? 3rd degree burns?

Tazar,
The heavy rain is due to hit tonight. Just when I have mega loads of washing to hang out. We don not understand why the cat was doing that. Maybe the dog had rolled in something really revolting and she was sharing the love around.

Jules,
Yes, crocs are in town again. Fisherman have been tossing it fish carcasses. We have been told there's a BIG saltie in the creek behind our house. Noice!

Elizabeth,
I put my head into a web today when turning on the garden tap. If you had seen me trying to get it all off (fearing many Golden orb spiders sinking fanks into my scalp), you would swear I was having an epileptic fit.

Fran,
Keep on keeping cool in you can Fran! The Daintree Rainforest (just up the road) is over 135 million years old - the oldest in the world apparently. Here's a link about it:

Lots of frogs and spiders in there!

Stony Creek looks very inviting - especially for all those poor southerners sweltering in 45 + heat for days running. Love that vine entwined around the tree and itself.

Lot of rain around here at the moment. We have friends from Kunanurra who've been stuck in town for days and no end in sight to the flooded Victoria river crossing.

The cat grooming the dog in your last post is just weird! If my cat did that to Oscar he would just about expire from fright. He's used to the odd rub against him when she's feeling particularly cosy but even then Oscar stands stiff as a board waiting for the swipe!

I'm getting scared when your page starts loading these days.....

The rainforest looks lovely and cooling though....our (small) pool is out in the sun at the moment - that 50 degree sun - not very inviting at the moment....
