Great post, Cindy. I can’t photo the geckos here they are too fast for me. They are cute but don’t like the poohs everywhere. I used to teach a class called the “Geckos” and I painted a big poster of a Gecko for the classroom. They still use it.

hi Cindy, no didn’t get the tattoo. they didn’t have one i really liked. i was going to get a bali symbol but have to change the top because it’s sacred and you can’t use it. or something like that. to Kim: i’d rather have a redback than a snake. i have redbacks in my garden. there was a huge one the other day, i sprayed it but it disappeared . oh oh

Awww….it was a lovely story apart from the eating of the dragonfly and the bird eating them at the end…..

We just get red-backed spiders around our house (not sure whether I prefer them or your snakes - both as yucky as each other)

My main inhabitant at the moment is dust…..its everywhere AND they havent even sanded the walls yet !!!!!

Fran, I would think these are the exact same geckoes as in Bali. Did you end up getting any tattoo?

Tazar, Gecko Pawn indeed! You need to see more of your man! I’ve noticed that there are no slaters or snails, and practically no roaches - there is a plus side to the Tropics!

Elizabeth, yes must be careful with all the Political Correctness. Was trying to explain to Jez the other day about the combinations between Donkeys, Horses and the resulting mules/hinnys/asses. Quite confusing!

Great photos…..very interesting and the sequence is great…eeer eeer careful careful gecko protection agency and dragonflies anonymous will get at you for not rescuing said creatures……

on the subject of gecko p…….n… I tried to put up a post on the puddle with a donkey called an ass and big puddle told me it was a naughty word…well I never…..

…. the kingfisher is a beauty.

They are amazing little critters, so wel adapted to living with humans and much nicer to share space with than cockroaches! It’s funny seeing them get all twisty with each other.

Very graphic photos of the beheading of the dragonfly!

Ha! I just got blocked from commenting because I wanted to write “gecko p.o.r.n” after the twisty sentence.

what a great post. all about geckos, poor little things. i always thought it was the large ones that bark. in bali the little ones are everywhere, they run around the ceilings and hang out near the lights (heat obviously). i almost got a gecko tattoo.

geckos are funny they try so hard not to get eaten and ten along comes a big gecko and eats the little ones! now theres a photo, not that rare to see half a gecko hanging out the mouth of another, well it not rare at my house, might have special canibal ones, lol
