Bloom
Since moving into our new home 10 months ago, we haven’t had much spare time to devote to the garden. Normally a Perth spring would see me going wild at the Garden Nursery, bringing home punnets of seedlings by the barrow load.
Today I made my inaugural visit to a new nursery in the area, with the intention only to buy sphagnum moss for epiphytic orchids my greenthumb neighbour kindly gave me. However, I was a lost cause once I spied the shiny oh-so colourful images on all the enticing labels. The Promise of armfuls of fragrant blooms filled my head, and then my shopping trolley.
Now the garden beds are not quite so bare. We will have stands of tall swaying lilac salvias, drifts of deep purple petunias, carpets of double impatiens,… fingers crossed!

Yeah I bought some purple bulbs in a bowl recently - they looked like they were going to be gorgeous but only 1 of the 3 flowered - but at least I have the bulbs to keep for next year - bought the same for Mum and all 3 flowered for her…..not much of a green thumb Im afraid.
The birds are lovely to watch, but not fun if they are waking you up. Congrats on your sale too.
Did you catch the last episode of Dexter? Was thinking of you when we were watching it last night……its been brilliant, very tempted to buy the 2nd series.
Interested to see Californication back on next Sunday here…..dont watch much tv but its something we can watch together (as was Dexter RIP!)
Bulbs are touchy things - I used to drool over them in Perth, but had little success as well. The tulip festival was just awesome, but not realistic for my gardening talents!
Yes, we were glued to DEXTER - truly scary stuff. Just love it! Don’t mind a bit of David Duchovny either…
Thanks for stopping by Kim.
