Elizabeth, oh no - being sick in spring must be be a real bummer. I hope that a break is just the thing you need to see you right soon.

Please, I do welcome bird corrections - I haven't seen many of the species up here before in my life. My growing collection of Field Guides (online ones as well) are well used!

Even thought he is he is bordering on being a serial killer (he's been plundering all the nests), that teenage Butcher Bird has real personality. A larrakin in the true sense.

Get well soon!

Hi Cindy,
The birds are beautiful in the back yard and know- it -all here, me, was going to correct you on the Butcher birds....as thought the immature bird looked like a bower bird but no you are correct....and I learn something every day. I was not familiar with the totally black butcher bird as those I see are the pied variety. I love the white cockatoo, a welcome visitor.

Your painting is beautiful.

I have had a relapse with illness and have been down for the count and had to fulfil commitments which I have now completed and have put in for leave so I can rest and recuperate.

As always your writings are so bright and insightful.......Thank you for sharing

Kind regards,
Elizabeth

Hi Gav,

Yes, no alarm clock needed at the moment - it's deafening in the pre-dawn light!

A lot of our birds fly north to Indonesia or PNG for the "winter", and back down to us for the Spring.

How's it all going with you Gav? Has your wife done any more paintings recently?

Hey Tim,

I don't know about being "inspiring", it's me that ususally requires the inspiration from others.

Perspiring yes - the AC is running each day now....

Thanks for stopping by boys,

Cheers

I love that Painting at the top. Well, I gather it's the only painting but I had to look hard to determine that....
You are quite inspiring.
