Gosh, so many visitors whilst I've been "otherwise engaged".

Thanks everyone for stopping by.

Janie, yes practising the deep breathing - 6 minute speech day is tomorrow!

Sarah, how lovely of you to comment. I'd love to see some of your work as well. How did you find Melbourne's climate after living in the tropics? I'm actually craving for a cold day at the moment.

With regards to Uni, I'm finding it such a strain timewise, especially on topics that I feel aren't quite relevant, but that I have to do. Semester break next week so time to recharge I think.

Kim, oh viruses are nasty AND expensive. They can arrive from virtually anywhere as well. Tell Lauren pythons make good pets as well. Good luck with it all!

Mandy, the one that hangs out by our driveway IS scary. You never him, just hear him crashing about in the undergrowth, just like in the Alien movie. What you can't see is always scarier.

Ohhl....I do like that moon shot, not sure about the Lace Monitor - he looks a bit scary.....Lauren has been nagging for a pet, maybe I will show her this shot as a possibility!

I love weather, weather photos, watching weather rolling in etc.

Have had a nasty virus on PC but think it might have been repaired....fingers crossed...

Have a good weekend...good luck with the paintings!

Hi Cindy, just thought I'd let you know I've thoroughly enjoyed perusing your blog after stumbling on it during a search for instructions on how to make beads out of sandlewood seeds! Now I know your friend used a drill and varnish - I'd wondered about using hot wire.
At any rate, I've been inspired by your photos and your commentary and I love your appreciation of simple pleasures! I used to live in Cairns but now I'm back in Melbourne - I really do miss the vitality and colour of the tropics. Good on you for enjoying it so much and best of luck with your art, which is wonderful!! (By the way, don't stress too much about uni - you'll look back and wonder why you took it all so seriously. ;) ).

Wow he's amazing, the most I have to worry about in the garden is a friendly rat or two:)
Your Moons are exquisite (no I'm not being rude) Wouldn't be surprised to see a little alien cycling by!
Well done with the great debate, 6 mins. boy that'll take a lot of deep breathing;)

Ha! "Can't Wait" was said with a deadpan face and in a definately facetious manner! I also "can't wait" for the next dentist's appointment.

Wow, a month's holiday - I hope a lot of that will be behind a camera! Fingers crossed that you get your leave. (2009 is too long to wait for a break!)

Yes, I have been warned about the nasties in their mouth. I'll think twice before I plunge my hand down into the undergrowth to pull weeds.

So far, Ive successfully procrastinated at the screen this morning. Anything but face the brushes!!!!!

Leftover from the dinosaur era....those lizards pack a nasty bite. They eat offal so heaps of infection in the mouth.
Congratulations on getting thus far with the public speaking. Six minutes is a long time in front of a critique. Can't wait?

The beautiful moonset was needed to counterbalance the prehistoric creature.

I have put in for a month's holiday from the formal work. Do not know if the times have been approved yet as need to give six weeks notice before annual leave. The co-ordinator thinks has to be October or next available will not be until March, April next year.

Happy painting.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth
