To the beat of a different drum
Taiko Drums. If you’ve ever experienced them “live”, you’ll know how infectious they are. You simply cannot get enough.
This troupe hail from Japan, and have been performing in Australia the last couple of months.
The concert was simply astonishing. They are amazing performers, sending the audience into riotous applause after each piece. That booming sound penetrates right through you, vibrating round your ribs and mind.
They are FIT. (14 hours of rigourous training every day will have that effect!)
What a wonderful occupation, travelling the world playing Taiko.
**Sigh**, next lifetime.

Hi Cindy……that is a great action shot of the drummers….
Thanks for putting me onto Catalyst – I managed to get everyone to bed in time so I could watch it (alone and in peace). Taped it too, for Rex and my sister. Wow, it got my mind thinking that is for sure. James is very much into numbers (albeit highway numbers at the moment) but he does have a fantastic memory so who knows where it will take him! His little mate in his class knows every postcode across Adelaide and picked up I got the school’s wrong on the postcard we sent.
The kids have been amazingly good since we got home, they are STILL under your spell no doubt!
Kim
I hope the spell continues for a loooong time Kim!
Was a very interesting Catalyst show.
