Titillation & Fire Dancers

Another whirlwind weekend – starting Friday evening with the opening of the “Titillate” exhibition.

This exhibition was made up of a collection of paintings, sculpture and installations all designed to smile and set the heart racing. Think burlesque meets vaudeville with sexy strip show thrown in.

My lecturer from last semester, Kristin, had work on show, as well as Adrian (from a few posts back).

Kristen made 6 of these groovy vinyl panels, of which I can show 4  here. (the other 2 are perhaps too burlesque for some!)

Same with Adrian, some great artworks, but I can only show the Patchwork piece here.

From a distance the patchwork was photolike.

Same with the mosaic.

Can you see who she is?

The “bouncers” by the door.

Yes, they are ping pong balls.

A quick wander along the Esplanade afterwards was lovely. Fire dancers were wowing the crowd.

I only had the little “Point & Shoot” camera, but being a hybrid, I could still play around with the shutter speed & ISO.

Trippy!

Kim Hosky (from Bigblog) will be here tonight- so dinner and drinks again. I’ll be sure to take the camera.

    Hi,
The patchwork ones are good. Point and shoot camera’s are better sometimes, I mis my little one that I could also take a short video with.
About your bigblog, it looks like the same problem I was having, and an old blogger(Shamus) wrote to me and told me what to do. Seems you have to de-activate it and wait 24hr’s then re-activate it. You log in to your bigpond account and go to ‘Additional services’ where you can de-activate your blog, then wait 24hr’s and go to bigblog home page and click on ‘create blog’, and they will tell you that you already have a blog and ask if you want to re-activate it.

    Hi Doug,

Yes the Point & shoot cameras are great for sticking in your pocket. The video quality they take these days is exceptional as well.

My bigblog is suffering from their server problems. I can’t even log in. There is nothing I can do until they sort their server out. Thanks for trying anyway.

What can’t you even log in to Bigpond?, I couldn’t log in to bigblog. You have to go to bigpond and log in to de-activate your bigblog.

Ohhh, I just tried to log into the blog before.

I have logged into my account, but the only thing I can do is delete the blog? Not de-activate it. Should I try deleting it?

    Thanks Doug.

Sorry I meant delete it, (you will have 30 day’s to re-activate it and nothing will be lost).
After you do that wait 24hr’s and then go to the bigblog homepage and click on ‘create my blog’

That mosaic is the ever lovely – Amy Winehouse, isn’t it? J/K. It’s my beloved – Marilyn Monroe. The fire dancing images are not that bad. They’re leaning to LOMO.
