Move a little bit closer…
These Wood Swallows were hosting a very small party this afternoon. I’ve seen over 20 of them cuddling up close late in the evening.
It’s nice to have close friends.
No time to upload today’s painting photos - the Opening Ceremony with the painting-with-your-body calligraphy has me transfixed (the calligrapher in me is salivating all over the floor).

Gorgeous photo. Had never seen a wood swallow before, The swallows we have in Ireland don’t have all that white, just a little on their breast I think and are much darker. I always loved the fact that the word for a group of swallows was a gulp:)
Your comments had me double over with laughter! I LOVE, LOVE Lost in Space! I just downloaded a few epies. I love those crazy outfits and the major was HOT! I wouldn’t look real good in a silver getup right now, but you just gave me such ideas! Thanks so much for stopping by. I will be back for more. These birds are to cute.
Hi Janie,
Never knew that about a Gulp - always thought that a Murder of Crows was odd, but I think the swallows top that one!
Are you having a nice summer in Ireland? I have relies and friends, some in Cork, some in Lurgan - all good people who are partial to the Black Ale!
Hi Vanessa,
Yes, I admit it, I wanted to marry Will Robinson. Every afternoon after school he was there in glorious B & W, and then stupendous colour! I even cried in the episode where the robot grows HUGE, Will & Dr Smith have to go inside him, then his big bellows-for-a-heart stops, and he dies. I balled my eyes out!
