Yeah I would hate to have my washing smell of smoke and to have the house all shut up but a necessarily evil I guess.

Some great shot there and the helicopter was a bit hard to spot wasn't it just a tiny speck.

Hi Guys,

Gav, Gordonvale got torched Thursday as well. Smoke so thick as everything was green. Air almost back to normal now, although lots of wallabies hanging around at the end of the street.

Elizabeth, must get back to your blog - only a few of the mages are available, only one of the swan? (With the beautiful reflection and red red bill).

Kim, night time temps back to 17 or 18, with days around 27. Too hot for winter! Hope little Hosky is better. I have a boy who is hacking up his lungs but he's still keen on school.

Tim, Bugblog is so buggy, nothing seems to work there. Hope you are feeling better - the answer is lots of prescription drugs!

Diane, Poor thing - light at the end of your tunnel soon. Think of all the fun you can have with Duty Free! Photoshop at Uni tomorrow and they've changed the prac session times after the lecture. Bit of a kerfuffle.

I've started the exhibition piece and am working like a mad thing to try and complete it for Friday deadline.....

Hi Cindy.......this was what I was referring to in my last comment.....

"Today I kicked the cat off my big carved camphorwood chest in my bedroom. Jez wanted a jumper to go to the skate park. Up until today it hasn’t been remotely chilly enough to fish a jumper out of storage"

Had the dreaded call from school today to pick up a sick Hosky......was at the shops, so had to drop everything ...... he has a bucket very close by and is very grumpy so dont know where this little drama will go.....

Hi Cindy,
If you have to burn now is the right time as get a softer scorch ....that house in the trees...ooooh.....I will not go there. In this area fires from the sawmill were out of control a few years ago and took several houses and the rate the fire streams up the gullies is scary to see.
You must have a very steady hand with the detail in your brushes and tin. Excellent...must admit I prefer the more controlled detail to the more freestyle use of the brush. Your art lecturer certainly sends a motivational E-mail.
I received a notice from Blogger that they had deleted some peoples images as junk or spam by mistake. Can you see the images now? I uploaded another. Kind regards, Elizabeth

No smoke over here on the good side of town!

they look pretty busy though, hope they got it done. very rare we have a fire problem up here with everything being so lush. They occasionally have fires on the mountians near Yarrabah. But havnt seen that for a while.

Helisoptors are cool and would have been fun to be in when it was going in and out of clouds.
