I remember when I had long talons for nails, and loved experimenting with nail polish. Now they're kept shorter as they are immersed in paints, inks, dirt, cat fur, washing up... the list is endless. It is something that I would be drawn to. Like red. I am drawn to red. Such a powerful colour, I feel like I can draw strength from it. When I need a boost of confidence I wear my killer red heels or awesome red boots. Tonight I am painting my nails red. To meet the new week with confidence that it will be a fantastic one. I so don't want to be in my head tomorrow morning... I'm almost missing winter. I said to The Man, I miss the snuggling up in front of the heater (but not the heating bills), drinking hot chocolate, hot spa. I betcha if I went back down south I'd be sick of the chilly stuff in 5 mins flat. Take some pics of the beach tomorrow when you go. I still haven't put more than a toe in at the beach here yet. Mine (bloke) has gone to sea again, bugger. I love the painting, very picasso/miro/cindy/esque. Re your comment on my non-updated blog: it is always hot here in the day. I haven't run the aircon for about 6 weeks and have been wearing warm/thick clothes at night for a bit now. Still gets to 30 odd in the day but nights are cool at 17 C. All relative I know, but it feels cold to this thinned blood. Last year we had a while of 13 to 14 C at night and everyone froze, not that bad so far. I will go swimming tomorrow, brave bunny but the dog loves it. Oh beautiful red, and such a lovely Man to keep you supplied with red liquids. Mine (bloke) has gone to sea again, bugger.
